10 Things you must do to become a Top Network Marketer. You have to change your way of thinking. MINDSET. The only way you are going to become a Top Network Marketer is if you start to think and believe as a Top Network Marketer. You will never pick up the phone and call someone successfully until you believe that you can do it. Network Marketing is known to make people a lot of money, but that often causes people to have disbelief that it can happen to them. They think that either someone got lucky or they were just at the top of the "pyramid" and that is why they make all that money. Nothing could be further from the truth. The people that make the Big Money in Network Marketing are the one's who believe first and foremost that it is indeed possible. Now Mindset alone will not make you successful in Network Marketing or anything else, but it is the first and foremost essential step in conditioning yourself for success. You must know what your "Why" is. Why are you doing Network Marketing? Why is it that you want to have your own home based business? Is it for money or time freedom? It has to be for something more, something you are or can become passionate about. More money and time freedom will allow you to accomplish your why, but it shouldn't be your why. If you had more money, you could live in a bigger house or drive a nicer car. You could take more vacations or you could provide your children with a better education. If you had more time, you could have lunch with your spouse more often, take your children to the zoo or the park and just relax and have more family time. This is just a few examples of why we do Network Marketing. What is your "Why"? Figure it out, become passionate about it and work hard to accomplish it. You have to set some goals. A Yale study was conducted over a period of many years to study the results of the effects of goal setting. The results were Amazing. In this period of time, only 3% of those studied set regular goals while 97% did not. In doing so, the 3% earned more money than all of the 97% combined. Why is this? Goal setting is a form of blueprint or a map. You would not build a house with out a set of blueprints to guide you along the way nor would you take a road trip in your car without a map or directions on how to get where you are going. Why would you build your business any differently? Build a house without blueprints and you will make costly mistakes, build your Network Marketing business without a plan and you will also make costly mistakes. Take a road trip without a map or directions and you will most likely take a wrong turn and have to go back the other way to correct your situation, Network Marketing is no different. Set some goals. It doesn't matter if you accomplish all of them, it matters that you set goals, go in the right direction and make the effort. You must be willing to work, this is a Business. There is one main difference that I have noticed over the years between those who succeed in Network Marketing and those who do not. Every time is the same, those who do not work FAIL and those who work SUCCEED. Now, I am not saying that people who work for 30, 60 or 90 days automatically become Successful, but I am saying that those who make and effort and a commitment to stick with it MAKE IT and those who don't DON'T. It's as simple as that. This is a business, you must treat it as such. It is not a hobby, not a "get-rich-quick-scheme" and not just something that your brothers girlfriends best friend talked you into joining. IT IS A REAL BUSINESS. Those who work in this industry and become Successful earn more money on average than Doctors, Lawyers, Scientist, The President of The United States and other top paid individuals. This industry pays very well for those willing to do the work and it cost a lot of money for those who aren't willing to work. You must take action. Activity creates results, you must do something every day. Taking action is simply making a choice to work this business and actually going to work. It does not take hundreds of hours of work to make Network Marketing work. It takes consistent effort, work and action. If you can work your business 5 hours per day then make sure you are working 5 hours every day and not 5 hours today and then 5 hours the next time you get a chance or the next time you think about it. You must work consistently. If your amount of time is only 1 or 2 hours per day then that's fine, but make sure that its 1 or 2 hours per day every day. Do something positive for your business every day and the Success will come. You must like the Product, the Company, the Opportunity and the Industry. Don't do this business if you don't like the product, don't do this business if you don't like the company, don't do this business if don't like the opportunity and DO NOT do this business if you are ashamed of Network Marketing. I get so disappointed when I see ads run that says "This is Not MLM or Network Marketing, this is different" Let me say this, if someone gets you into a business and they have to ability to earn from your efforts then that is indeed without any doubt or confusion Multi-Level-Marketing or Network Marketing. They are simply too ashamed to say that they do Network Marketing. This industry has been very good to me for the past 21 years. It has afforded me the opportunity to live a lifestyle that I may have only dreamed about without it. But more importantly than what it has done for me is what it has done for the countless 100's and 1000's of people that I have had the honor to work with over the years. Please, if you are ashamed of Network Marketing or you don't like our products, our company or the opportunity that it presents you, then look for something different that you like. You WILL NOT be successful with something you don't like or are ashamed of. You can't be afraid to fail as you learn to Succeed. As you start your business, many more people are going to tell you "No" rather than tell you "Yes". Let me say this, "That is how it is supposed to work". Don't be afraid that you are failing, because you are not, you are learning. When someone tells you "No" it is often the result of a sub-conscious defense that we have against being "SOLD", it most likely has nothing at all to do with you. Every successful Network Marketer has heard the word "No" many more times than they have heard the word "Yes". Even after you become successful and have years of success behind you it is still going to be the same way. People are just simply afraid to be sold. Don't take the "No's" personally, it is not you they are saying no, rather the opportunity. Remember this, Some WILL, Some WON'T, SO WHAT.....NEXT. You must be teachable. In everything we do in life there are things we need to learn. Network Marketing is no different. You must be willing to learn and to learn from those who understand Network Marketing and have had success in the industry. Those who are willing to learn are those who make it. You must not try to re-invent the wheel. The wheel rolls just fine and long as it has the right tires on it. The wheel is the System, following the system and learning the system puts good quality tires on the wheel and makes it perform nicely. You must use the phone. Network Marketing is a relational business meaning we have to make relationships with people in order to make our business work and grow our organization. One very important part of building relationship is being willing to pick up the phone and make phone calls. You need to be contacting your warm market of friends and associates that you know and you also need to be developing your cold market of prospect that come in the form of purchased or generated leads. You can not build other peoples business. Do not ask them to get started in your business and tell them that you will build them a business, it just doesn't work that way and besides its not easy to duplicate that effort. You want to do and teach actions that your team can duplicate. You may be able to spend $1000 or more per Month buying people into the business and building others downline, but can your team duplicate that? Most likely not, so it is best to not start that habit. There may be times when you want to help someone financially to get started if they have the desire and the passion to build the business, but don't just buy them in and build their business just to get them on board.
